About Me

Embracing Resilience and Preserving Heritage

We are deeply committed to celebrating resilience and heritage. Our foundation stands as a beacon of inspiration, dedicated to preserving and honoring the remarkable legacy of Thelma Brownlee, also known as "The Singing Sharecropper," and her nine children. Through our flagship initiative, the House of Mtenzi Museum, we have created a sanctuary where visitors can immerse themselves in the captivating story of Ma' & 9 MustardSeeds.
Situated in the heart of Memphis and lovingly nicknamed "The Hidden Jewel," our museum is more than just a collection of artifacts; it is a living testament to the indomitable spirit of a family that defied the odds. From interactive exhibits detailing their humble beginnings to multimedia presentations showcasing their journey of perseverance and triumph, every corner of the House of Mtenzi Museum tells a story of resilience, unity, and cultural heritage.
In addition to preserving history, our museum serves as a platform for cultural exchange and dialogue. Through curated events, workshops, and community outreach programs, we strive to foster a deeper understanding and appreciation of our shared heritage. It's a place where visitors of all ages and backgrounds can come together to celebrate the diversity that makes our community vibrant and unique.
