Community Involvement

At Ma' & 9 MustardSeeds Foundation, our commitment to community involvement is deeply ingrained in our ethos and reflects the very essence of who we are. Through the House of Mtenzi Museum, situated in the heart of Memphis, Tennessee, we open the doors to the performing arts while preserving the rich tapestry of our cultural heritage. The museum serves as a vibrant testament to the resilience of our community, weaving together narratives of triumph over adversity, from the struggles of the Civil Rights Movement to the indomitable spirit of individuals like Thelma Brownlee, the Singing Sharecropper.

In addition to the House of Mtenzi Museum, we proudly host the Annual Stone"Eben"Awards, a prestigious ceremony that celebrates leaders and pioneers dedicated to building a more equitable society stone by stone. Through twelve distinguished categories, including the esteemed "World Impact Award," we honor those who exemplify unwavering dedication and integrity in their pursuit of social progress. The Awards serve as a powerful reminder of our collective responsibility to foster positive change and create a brighter future for generations to come.

Furthermore, our commitment to community involvement extends beyond accolades and recognition. Through the Forgotten Souls Coalition and Festival, we stand in solidarity with the marginalized and homeless, providing essential resources and fostering a sense of belonging and dignity. Our quarterly festivals, held throughout the year, offer not just material support but also a sense of community and connection, proving that even in the face of adversity, compassion and empathy can spark transformative change. At Ma' & 9 MustardSeeds Foundation, community involvement isn't just a service—it's a sacred duty and a testament to the enduring power of unity and compassion.
